n8n expressions

Dates

  • DateTime.fromISO() — Parses an ISO 8601 date string into a Luxon DateTime so you can format or calculate with it.

  • replaceAll() — Replaces every occurrence of a substring
  • split() — Splits a string into an array at each occurrence of the separator.
  • toLowerCase() — Returns the string with every letter converted to lowercase.
  • toUpperCase() — Returns the string with every letter converted to uppercase.

Logic

Arrays

  • Array index [0] — Reads an array element by its 0-based position
  • at() — Reads an element by position and supports negative indexes, so at(-1) is the last element.
  • filter() — Returns a new array containing only the elements for which the condition is true.
  • find() — Returns the first element that matches the condition, or undefined if none does.
  • length — Property that returns the number of characters in a string or items in an array
  • map() — Returns a new array with the result of the function for every element.
  • reduce() — Reduces an array to a single value, such as a total, by carrying an accumulator through every element.
  • sort() — Sorts an array in place

JSON & objects

Node data

  • $input.all() — Returns an array of every item that reached the current node
  • $('Node Name') — Reads output data from an earlier node by its exact name.
